LATEST NEWS

Recent events continue to demonstrate the back-and-forth battle over children's libraries and which books are to fill their shelves. The St. Tammany Parish Council (STPC) in Louisiana, however, has had enough of the bickering and is taking direct action.

An elementary school in rural Florida was forced to disband its Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) club after being accused of indoctrinating children into religion by Freedom from Religion Foundation (FFRF). The FCA chapter included a small group of fifth grade students.

The British government is preparing to reject a global health treaty that critics warn gives power to "a new world order." According to The Telegraph, the U.K. is opposed to signing the World Health Organization (WHO) global pandemic treaty, insisting the accord would undermine the U.K.'s sovereignty.

General George Washington nearly lost the Revolutionary War because local political leaders refused to supply him with needed reinforcements. This past week, his namesake's university nearly lost the Battle of Gaza Plaza for the same reason. Pro-Hamas demonstrators erected an encampment four blocks from the White House complex at George Washington University (GWU), where it remained for two weeks until Wednesday morning.

While Education Secretary Miguel Cardona took his turn in the House hot seat over Title IX, states were busy making life a misery for White House attorneys. Adding to Joe Biden's headaches, another two governors are daring the administration to come after them after publicly flouting his rule to let boys into girls' bathrooms, locker and dorm rooms, and on sports teams. "Protecting our kids and women's athletics is my duty," Cornhusker leader Jim Pillen (R) insisted late last week. "Nebraska will not comply." And they aren't the only ones.

Politically, Israel has been regarded as America's most strategic ally in the Middle East. In Christian circles, the church's relationship to Israel also carries a high significance. In light of this, it's not surprising that many are disappointed in the way the Biden administration has conducted itself since the war between Israel and the terrorist group Hamas began after the October 7 surprise attack.
